Halo USB AI Chip from 405th.com

*notice this is the first real time I've used cardboard to make props so bear with me*

I know I've been gone for a long time, but since the weather in Minnesota is better I figured it was time to start working on some Props again.

Last year I did a recon helmet but this year I'm focusing on the little things in Halo (or life). While at work lastnight I had the idea of using my USB keychain and turning it into a AI chip.
I've seen plenty of these done in the past and had the idea for a while. Well I had plenty of time lastnight to start doing this.

First I used 'thick' cardboard from a Beer Box I had in the cooler at work.

I measured them 2 1/4 in long x 1 1/4 wide. Then I guestimated where the hole should go to show off the light built into the USB (made it easier than building one from scratch).

Then I realized it looked like crap and remade it.
This time I used thinner cardboard from another beer case. (I love working in a bar)
I used the same mesurements but figured the middle of each piece.

Next I used some images from Google to mark where the details were going to be. After that I cut out said details and glued them together in layers.

After they dried I used a dremel to cut the hole out and clean up some of the edges.

More to come soon, Hope you all like what I've thrown together in a couple hours.

After doing alittle clean up here is some more pictures.

I tried to get a picture with the light on but it flashes and I'm slow with a camera.

After I resin it to make it stronger I'll do some clean up to it all, I'm hoping the slot for the USB card will be easy to clean up with a small drill.
